President's Message
On behalf of the 2010 National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Silicon Valley Chapter’s Board of Directors, I would like to thank our members and corporate sponsors for their support and involvement in NAIOP. I would also like to encourage those in our industry that have yet to commit to join NAIOP and get involved with the real estate industry’s most dynamic trade association.
NAIOP continues to be a strong voice for commercial real estate in Silicon Valley. NAIOP Silicon Valley represent the industry in public policy and legislative affairs, it engages top industry professionals and experts as our program participants and it offers exciting networking and social opportunities to our members, sponsors and guests.
In 2007 the NAIOP Silicon Valley launched the annual Developer Hall of Fame Dinner. This annual event provides the commercial real estate community the opportunity to honor legendary pioneers of the Silicon Valley Commercial Real Estate Industry and generate a permanent oral history documenting the key role our industry served in the establishment of Silicon Valley.
I encourage you to support us in our efforts and to join NAIOP. Once you have joined, I hope that you will take full advantage of our programs and networking opportunities by sponsoring an event or joining the President’s council. Through the President’s Council, member companies contribute over and above their individual membership commitment, insuring that NIAOP Silicon Valley will continue to thrive.
